Amazon Cancels iRobot Deals

Amazon has canceled its planned acquisition of Roomba maker iRobot. The company claimed that the deal was a victim of "undue regulatory obstacles." The company will pay iRobot an $94 million breakup fee.

The move came after the European Commission, the EU's executive arm and its top antitrust enforcer, said it had an "preliminary opinion" that the acquisition could harm competition.
