Best iRobot Vacuums

This entry-level iRobot is an excellent choice for those who want to avoid the extra cost of a more expensive model. It is equipped with incredible navigation and obstacle-avoidance features and provides app and voice control, as well as scheduled cleaning.

In our tests, its vacuuming performance was top-notch. It was able to remove 55% debris. Its mopping did an excellent job of obliterating dried milk staining.

1. Roomba S9+

It scans your home 25 times a second and creates a detailed map that assists Baby Rocky to avoid getting caught in clutter. Furthermore the model this year comes with PerfectEdge technology that lets the s9+ hew closely to sharp edges, such as the thin edges of my Ikea-renovated kitchen cabinets.

The s9+ isn't expensive, but it's the most Wi-Fi-enabled robotic vacuum I've ever had. Its intelligent mapping, self-emptying base, and simple iRobot Home app make it easy to schedule cleaning at a distance. It's also easy to set up and maintain, and it feels well-built.

Its overall performance is unparalleled in my experience. I'm not a fan of the s9+'s'smart dust sensor', which is designed to pinpoint areas where there are significant concentrations of dust and focus its cleaning power on the areas. It's also better at picking up kitty-litter and pet hair than its closest competitor which is the less expensive ONSON GOOVI robot F007.

2. Roomba J7+

The Roomba J7+ is a robot vacuum that offers wet mopping capabilities. The j7+ makes use of advanced technology to avoid obstacles and clean your floors without missing any spot. This new feature lets the robot avoid obstacles like pet poop and other objects that could cause the robot to break or get stuck. It has a powerful, three-stage cleaning system that consists of a powerful vacuum, edge-sweeping brushes, which can move around furniture tight corners, as well as two multi-surface rubber brushes that work on different kinds of floors. The j7+ also does an excellent job of cleaning pet hair and other debris from carpets with no pile and floors with low pile.

Although the J7+ is a great robot vacuum but it's not as efficient as our top choice Ecovacs' Deebot X1 Omni. The X1 is more reliable and has a longer battery life. It also has a faster charging speed and is compatible with an X1 base station that can automatically empty its own tank. It can also recognize your schedule and plan autonomous cleaning sessions.

3. Roomba i3 EVO

The Roomba i3 EVO is a great robot vacuum that does an exceptional job on bare floors. The BestReviews Testing Lab compared it to the Shark AI Robot and found that both models offered similar cleaning capabilities, the i3 was better equipped to handle low and high-pile rugs. The i3 has a bigger dirt container, which means it doesn't need to be emptied as frequently. It also has Dual Virtual Barrier device that lets you identify areas for the robot to avoid while cleaning, making it a good choice for homes with pets.

Like other irobot robot vacuums robots, the i3 EVO also uses smart maps to keep track of your home's layout and divisions, but it does this without the help of a camera that the i8/i8+, the j7/j7+ and s9/s9+ do. The i3 EVO instead uses floor-tracking sensor to determine where rooms are located and how they're divided. Once it's done mapping, the i3 EVO displays the smart map in the app, allowing you to adjust the dividers and room labels if needed.

Based on iRobot OS the i3 EVO is always one step ahead of everyday messy spills. It analyzes your cleaning habits and makes suggestions. For example it can schedule cleanings for when you're away from home, or suggest additional cleaning during peak pollen or animal shedding seasons. You can also start cleaning by simply speaking a command using Google Assistant or Alexa.

The i3 EVO does an impressive job of cleaning floors that are not clean, tackling smaller debris like rice and larger material like cereal in a single run. It isn't able to deal dealing with pet hair and other particles of fine size on floors that are Effortlessly Clean Your Space with iRobot Roomba 692. It takes several passes to eliminate them. This isn't uncommon for robovacs with no specific suction system for pet hair.

When the i3 EVO dustbin is full it automatically emptys the contents into the docking station's external debris compartment, and then continues to clean. If its battery is depleted it will return to the docking station to start charging. This automated feature helps you keep your hands clean and also prevents the i3 EVO from losing its performance when it is filled with dirt.

4. Braava Jet M6

The Braava Jet M6 is a robot for mopping designed to take the hassle out of cleaning floors. It's quite a bit different from the previous Braava models and also has a bigger water tank that sits underneath its spiffy-looking new lid. In contrast to other 2-in-1 hybrids it actually mops your floors with an actual sanitary cleaning solution instead of simply cleaning up dirt and leaving it on the floor. It also comes with a nice adjustable nozzle that allows you to select the area to be cleaned and smart recharge and resume functions.
